• Chat messages: Your travel questions and AI responses, stored to provide conversation history
• Usage data: Pages visited, searches, trip plans, features used, and session duration for service improvement
• Device data: Browser type, device model, operating system, and IP address for security and analytics
• Location data: Collected only with your permission, to provide localized services

2. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and improve the travel information service
• Maintain your conversation history and saved itineraries
• Generate personalized itinerary recommendations for you
• Send service-related notifications (with your consent; you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), protected by access control and permission management. Servers are located in the United States. We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or up to 2 years after your last login.

4. Data Sharing

• We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the cases below:
• AI providers (MiniMax, Qwen): Your chat messages are sent to generate responses
• Analytics services (Sentry): Anonymized error and performance data
• Service providers (e.g. cloud storage, analytics) that process data on our behalf
• With your explicit consent
• Legal authorities: When required by law or to cooperate with law enforcement

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure: Delete your account and associated data
• Portability: Export your data in JSON format
• Objection: Opt out of non-essential data processing
• Withdrawal: Withdraw consent at any time
• Complaint: Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

6. Children’s Privacy

This service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected a child’s information, we will delete it promptly. Parents who believe a child has provided us with information should contact us to request deletion.

8. Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email privacy@travelerlocal.ai with subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly from the Profile page in the app.
