The catch for a short trip is distance: it is well outside Chenzhou city, a long road haul, and realistically a full day or an overnight rather than something to bolt onto a Dongjiang Lake morning. Go for the forest and the air if you have the days; skip it if your time is tight and the lake is your priority.
