Do you need to book Sanxingdui bronzes & gold artifacts in advance?
Yes — Sanxingdui bronzes & gold artifacts in Deyang runs on real-name advance reservation. A foreign passport works as the real-name ID. We have not found an official statement of when tickets release or a booking page we can link, so the practical route is your hotel front desk — and we say so rather than guess.

How a foreign visitor actually books it
There's no separate ticket for the artifacts — they're inside the museum and covered by your timed reservation. Bring your passport for the real-name entry and plan a half-day; the collection is large and the new hall is the centrepiece.
What else to know
We link no official booking page here — this is what you actually see inside the museum, not a separately ticketed site. Sanxingdui was a Bronze Age culture on the Chengdu Plain dated roughly 1700–1150 BC, largely uncovered in 1986 after an initial find in the 1920s. The standout objects are dozens of large bronze masks and heads with angular features and exaggerated, sometimes protruding, almond eyes — several heads once wore gold-foil masks — plus a celebrated bronze 'sacred tree', and a roughly 3,000-year-old gold mask among the 500-plus relics pulled from the pits in March 2021. Nothing else in China looks quite like it, which is the whole draw. The site is on the UNESCO tentative World Heritage list (with the related Jinsha site near Chengdu).
If the official channel does not work
The two reliable fallbacks are your hotel front desk, which books these through domestic apps every day, and the on-site manual window where one still exists. What does not work is buying from someone who approaches you or from a marketplace listing: entry is real-name, so a ticket registered to another person’s ID will not admit you. The mechanics are in buying tickets the official way and booking without WeChat.
