Do you need to book White Pagoda Temple / Baita Si in advance?
No — White Pagoda Temple / Baita Si in Wuwei does not need an advance reservation. Buy at the gate or walk in, depending on whether the site charges at all. That makes it one of the sights you can leave to the day, which is worth knowing when the rest of a China itinerary has to be booked a week out.

How a foreign visitor actually books it
A gate ticket at the site, southeast of the city; bring your passport. Reached by taxi or DiDi from the centre. No advance booking needed in normal periods.
What else to know
We list no official booking page and no verified price here — we could not verify a current official ticketing channel or a reliable fare, so do not assume a figure; reconfirm on the ground. This is the historically heavy stop: in 1247 the Tibetan lama Sakya Pandita met the Mongol prince Köden here in Liangzhou, in the meeting remembered as the Liangzhou Alliance (凉州会盟) that began Tibet's incorporation into the Yuan empire. Sakya Pandita died at Wuwei and his ashes were interred under a stupa here; the original White Pagoda collapsed in a historic earthquake and what stands today is a reconstructed memorial pagoda over the ruins of the old base, with a small museum. Come for the history and the setting, not for an intact medieval monument.
What to still watch for
No reservation does not mean no friction. Carry your passport — it is the ID checked wherever one is checked, and a photo of it is not accepted. Where there is a paid gate, expect the counter to want a domestic payment app rather than a card, which is worth setting up before you land. And anyone approaching you outside with tickets is selling something you do not need here — the sights that genuinely sell out are the ones with a reservation rule, listed in Reservation Radar.
